Kevin O Hagan
Kevin O’Hagan has been has been training and coaching martial arts for 44 years to date and is still actively on the mats daily.
He is a world renowned reality based martial artist who holds an 8th Dan black belt masters grade in Combat Jujutsu

James Stewart
I started training in 1986 in what is now referred to as, Bujinkan Tai-Jitsu. Carried on studying this for many years, then one day, while waiting for class to start in a multi style dojo, sat and watched the guys in an eskrima class and never looked back! I have trained in eskrima now for 24 years
6 years ago I was introduced to Doyle style tradition Irish stick fighting.
Around 2 years ago I was very honoured to receive my instructor certificate in the system & teach it along with eskrima.

Clive Nelson
Clive Nelson is a 5th Dan in Go Neo Sen Ryu Jujitsu, which translates to "reaction to attack".
Clive has been training for around 30 years. Started with Aikido for a couple of years, then moved on to Jujitsu. Clive started his own club 7 years ago and is a member of the Fighting arts of Great Britain.

Matt Stait
Matt Stait started his martial arts training in the late 80's in amateur boxing. After years studying disciplines such as Karate, Kickboxing, Olympic Wrestling and MMA and taking part in many successful competitions he then moved into self protection where he found the Israeli systems of Krav Maga and Kapap. He is a security and corporate trainer, ex- bouncer and bodyguard, recognised subject matter expert, holds multiple black belts and instructor licenses and has run his own full time Academy for 14 years.

Ian Gauldie
Ian has been practicing martial arts for over 50 years.
As a former competitor, Ian held the World Self Defence title for two years and was the winner of 17 major titles from a 12-year competition reign.
Ian is the senior Instructor to 700 students in The Academy, providing world class tuition in Self Defence, Filipino Martial Arts, Ju - Jitsu (including MMA and groundwork) as well as Kickboxing.

Steve Rowe
Steve Rowe has a 50 year history teaching karate, kung fu, tai chi, iaido and jodo all over the world, studying with Japanese and Chinese masters.
He has worked and taught in the security and law enforcement industry for many years and has authored 10 books 6 still available on Amazon.

Matt Hudd
Matt Hudd is a qualified Silat Fitrah instructor under the guidance of Guru Tua Chris Parker.
Silat Fitrah is a Malaysian martial art that focuses on Weapons and Multiple opponents.
The training method provides a safe, practical and enjoyable way to develop physical and spatial awareness and emotional management, improved physical movement and coordination, self defence capability, new relationships and the ability to apply the principles of the art to enhance the quality of our everyday experiences.

Chinese Swordsmanship
Gavin King
Gavin King, with 35 years of martial arts experience, is the founder of the Rochford Martial Arts Academy and the UK representative of Scott Rodell's Academy of Chinese Swordsmanship.
A two-time finalist in the Traditional Chinese Sword League Annual Tournaments and an apprentice of Scott Rodell, Gavin is at the forefront of the renaissance of Historical Chinese Swordsmanship.
In addition to Chinese Swordsmanship, Gavin teaches Taijiquan, Sanda, and Kung Fu.

In the 1990’s I was coaching Thai Boxing and had fighters compete nationally, put on 2 shows in Bath with K-Star from Birmingham and also coached Wing Chun.
In the mid 1990’s I trained in LA at the Inosanto Academy and Jet Centre amongst other places.
On returning to the UK I started training with Steve Morris initially in Goju Ryu Karate and then his mixed methods.
In strength & conditioning work I qualified as a level 4 Poliquin coach where I had to produce World and Olympic level athletes.

His teaching and training methods have produced numerous exceptional coaches and (World, European and British) champions in Muay Thai and western boxing

Gus Rogers
I am a third Dan Tang Soo Do Black Belt under the WTSDA. I started my training in 1996. I received my Black Belt in October 1999. I started teaching in 2010. I received my third dan in 2014.
I got my Dojang in 2017. Became professional Instructor in 2019. Left WTSDA in 2023. I have won 2 gold and two silver in the 2012 and 2014 World Championships in USA.
I have won National Grand Champion 4 times in UK (2012, 2017,2018,2019) and European Grand Champion twice (2013 and 2019). I have been inducted into the UK Martial Arts Hall of Fame (2018/19/21).

Chris Jones
Chris began training in the 1980’s initially in WT Taekwondo before switching to ITF style Taekwondo and Kickboxing under Master Kim Stones at his Doncaster based full-time academy. In the late 1990’s, Chris began teaching for the academy, working there until the middle of 2002.
In late 2002, Chris opened his own full-time centre based in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire where he has continued to teach ever since.

Karate
Joe Andrews
Joe Andrews is a 5th Dan black belt in Karate and is the founder and chief instructor of Somerset Applied Karate. Joe has studied martial arts for over 27 years including BJJ, Judo, Tai Chi and Bō.
Joe will be teaching a workshop on ‘Full Sequences’; a sparring template which incorporates kicking, punching, grappling, takedowns, groundwork and submissions.

Shaiful Hakim Bin Mohamed Noor
My name is Shaiful Hakim Bin Mohamed Noor. A 3rd year PhD in Aerospace Engineering, University of Bristol.
I am 5th Dan Black Belt in Silat Seni Gayong (PSSGM) Malaysia, and a 2nd Dan Black Belt under Federation Francaise de Karate.
I am the founder of Silat Seni Gayong France, which now has 4 active schools in France (Lille, Bretagne, Toulouse and Montpellier). I move to Bristol since 2022, and recently I open a Silat club under the name Silat Seni Gayong United Kingdom, at University of Bristol.

I gained my Diploma in 2008 in PT and Sports massage therapy, and I am also a group fitness instructor. I have taught many formats throughout the years. I trained at Jamie Woodlands Black Belt Academy for many years and am also a 2nd degree black belt in TKD (it also helps that he’s my husband)!!
I run various classes in our local community and am now running Fitness Pilates Retreats in our local area which are very popular.

Bujinkan InYo Dojo, is a Bristol Ninjutsu Club run by Raj Bhakerd who is a 9th Dan instructor in Bujinkan Ninjutsu and has been training for over 30+ years. The dojo was established in 2005.
The Bujinkan Dojo is a martial arts organization that specializes in the teaching and preservation of traditional Japanese martial arts.

Chinese Swordmanship
Scott Rodell
"Scott M. Rodell, widely regarded as the father of the renaissance of Chinese swordsmanship, is the head teacher of the Academy of Chinese Swordsmanship and founder/director of the Great River Taoist Center.
Having studied under masters Wang Yen-nian, T.T. Liang, and William C.C. Chen, he led the Center from its beginnings as a local group to an international school with branches across the US, Canada, Northern and Eastern Europe, and Australia.
